Luke got Kayleigh drunk, then sexually assaulted her. He proceeded to take her over to his neighbor’s house, with Stephen Beadman lying in wait. Stephen was a landscape gardener who lived near a farm – he raped her as well, before murdering her on the nearby farmlands.
Forensic evidence showed that Kayleigh tried to arm herself with a brick, along with her fingernails to fight off her attackers, but failed to do so.
Luke was a horror film super fan – his sick fantasies have turned out to be her curse and worst nightmare. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by Stephan Beadman who was sentenced to 35 years.
Kayleigh’s parents were left heartbroken, and miss their daughter every single day.
