Elephants Are Tortured With Bullhooks To Wash Visitors’ Cars In Notorious Safari

Animal lovers worldwide were outraged, stating that elephants washing cars are an act of cruelty – it is unnatural and unnecessary. People have also pointed out that Wildlife Safari abuses elephants to do so with bullhooks, such as one pictured below. Excessive usage of this torture device could break the surfaces of elephants’ skin.

Elephants are wild majestic animals – yet they are exploited to perform demeaning human tasks. Toni Frohoff, an elephant and cetacean scientist with In Defense of Animals, added that elephant trunks are not meant to be used as “hoses in living car washes”.

In addition, the zoo also makes the elephants dance on command and take selfies with visitors.
