Each year, thousands of people go to the zoo or the circus to see the animals perform. Did you ever stop to wonder how those animals are trained? Well, you may not like what you see. A zoo in Germany, the Hanover Adventure Zoo, has a dozen elephants that perform tricks – some of the elephants are babies.
The elephants stand on their hind legs and run around either in a line or in a circle. Sounds cute – right? But some footage leaked from that zoo shows that the elephants are beaten into submission with bull hooks!
A bull hook is a metal rod with a sharp hook on one end.
