But they lured her there again a few days later, and when they found they were once again unable to follow their original plan, one of the boys shot her in the head. They then stole her backpack, money, and devices and ran, leaving her to die.

But thankfully, Deserae was reported missing, and it wasn’t long before she was found. She survived.

Many insist that they should be tried as adults, with some even suggesting that their parents are charged as well. The fact remains that these boys should receive suitable punishment for their crimes, and that there is no excuse for taking someone else’s life. Ever.
