Rescuers Left Heartbroken After Seeing 170 Puppies Living In Filthy Dark Rooms

The word “hoarder” usually brings to mind piles of garbage and junk collecting in someone’s home, making living conditions extremely difficult or unbearable. But as it turns out, people can also hoard animals. Christine Calvert and Mark Vattimo have been sentenced to three years of probation and have also been permanently legally banned from pet ownership after it was discovered that the couple had been hoarding Yorkshire Terriers in their home. Yes, that’s right – they were hoarding dogs.

170 of these poor pups were found on their properties or under their ownership, with 90 in their home in San Diego, 46 in an RV in Nevada, and 30 in a location that remains undisclosed. The pets were living in terrible conditions and were extremely dirty.
