Animal mutations are unfortunately common, and as animal lovers, its important to remind ourselves that looks aren’t everything – personality is. Mutations and birth defects comes in all forms, and even in the form of feathers which affected one bird’s life.
Meet whipper the parakeet, with the most unusual feathers! They aren’t straight and layered like ordinary birds’, they come in great heaps and ruffles, almost like animal fur, with a perm. They even look somewhat like zoodles! He was abandoned at birth due to the way he looks, but thankfully he has a loving owner now!
