Unsuspecting Hikers Stumble Upon These Figures In The Woods — And Freeze In Their Tracks

You know what driftwood is – right? Driftwood is a piece of wood that ends up floating (or drifting) on the sea, the wood will get washed ashore. We usually think of driftwood as debris that clusters the beaches. Japanese artist Nagato Iwasaki is taking pieces of driftwood and turning them into pieces of art.

Not only that, but he places his wooden art in the forests of Japan. People who go for a stroll in the forest get to discover them.

Many of Nagato’s pieces appear to be walking. He uses the human body as his inspiration when creating his art.

What would you think if you stumbled across a humanoid figure while hiking?

I think I would be a little taken aback at first. Then I would be able to appreciate the beauty and talent that went into making them.
