Bali is an Indonesian Island that attracts wealthy tourists because of the nearly perfect weather and relaxed feel.
In a shocking revelation, tourists have learned that they have been eating dog meat!
The dogs that were killed were pets – stolen from their homes and then killed in a very violent manner (poisoned or bludgeoned to death).
The disgusting scheme was uncovered by an animal activist group call Animals Australia.
Balinese gangs were seen capturing and killing dogs and sold the meat to unsuspecting tourists.
Street vendors were the worst offenders, but they were not the only ones.
Even upscale restaurants knowingly sold customers dog meat.
Some estimates claim that over 70,000 dogs are killed each year and eaten in Bali by tourists.
It is not illegal to eat dog meat in Bali – but at least the people selling it should be honest about what the meat is so tourists can decide if they want to eat it or not.
Share away, people.
