Waiter Denies To Serve A Man Who Refused To Sit Near A Special-Needs Child

In 2013, Kim Castillo and her son, Milo, went to eat at Laurenzo’s restaurant in Houston, Texas. Milo. 5-years-old, has special needs, and that made another customer uncomfortable, so he moved his family to another table further away from Kim and Milo. You know, because you don’t want to get ‘cooties’ or something.

Michael Garcia, a server, noticed what happened and then the whole restaurant heard the man complaining about ‘special-needs’ people going elsewhere. Michael and Kim were shocked by the man’s rude outburst. Good example he was setting for his family too -don’t you think? Michael was overtaken with emotion and told the man that he was unable to serve them. The embarrassed family left.

Have a heart, be compassionate. Don’t be a jerk like this man. People with special needs are people with feelings. If you are uncomfortable around people who are different than you – stay home and keep your opinions to yourself. Share away, people.
