This is Cola, a pit bull. Cola came to the Yonkers Animal Shelter in October 2015. He was a stray, but he had been neutered, the staff figured he had an owner out in the world. Sadly, no one ever came for him. Cola waited about 18 months.
Happily, the shelter has adopted him, and he is a permanent resident!
Unlike most dogs, Cola doesn’t seem to mind living at a shelter. He is easy going, and according to staff, he is actually quite polite! The staff says Cola is a model resident.
They find it hard to understand why no one has adopted him. Cola’s favorite outdoor activity is playing with tennis balls! Once outside, Cola will chase the balls and grab two and store them in his mouth.
