People get bullied. Many of us may also know that animals get bullied too. In my house, one of the male cats always picks on one of the females. He can be such a jerk! Goldie, the golden retriever, was living in a rural town in Texas. No one knows his story or how he came to be living there.
But the local canine club was willing to let him know that he was far from welcome. Goldie was attacked by the dogs and remained hidden underneath a mobile home, according to Stacey Silverstein, the co-founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.

Animal control had to drag the beaten up and defeated Goldie out from under the mobile home. Goldie was taken to Corsicana Animal Shelter, Goldie had gashes and wounds all over his body, and he was in shock.

Goldie was taken out of the shelter by some local volunteers.

At the vet, Goldie got life-saving treatment, along with dozens of stitches. For two weeks, Goldie remained at a vet’s office to recover from his ordeal. Once he arrived in New York, he spent another two weeks at a vet’s office on Long Island.
