Mother Rat Sees Massive Snake Slithering Away With Her Baby — Then Camera Catches A Miracle

Her baby seemed to be fine and was walking on its own. Then the two scurry off into the grass. According to Auburn University Museum of Natural History‘s professor David Steen, a venomous snake (pit vipers, for example) will typically bite their prey and then leave them to die.

The snake will then return later for the meal. This snake must not have been venomous because it was trying to abscond with the living baby rat in its mouth.
