Francine Christophe was only eight years old when she was sent to Bergen-Belsen, a concentration camp during World War II. Her mother had a small piece of chocolate that she used when things were just about hopeless. Francine’s mother asked the young girl to share her chocolate with a pregnant woman while she was giving birth – to help her feel better.
Francine did. The camp was liberated when the baby was six months old – that was the day the baby cried for the very first time. Fast forward seventy years. Francine ran into someone she hadn’t seen in a very long time. Grab a tissue and watch. You will find out how Francine ran across this person and who it was!
