Policeman Rescued 5-Year-Old Girl From Burning Home, Only To Receive An Invite 19 Years Later

A woman named Josibelk Aponte, known as Josi to her peers and relatives, has reunited with her a savior of the past – a policeman named Peter Getz. Josi is now a 23-year-old graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University, and has invited Peter along for the graduation ceremony!

And it all started with a terrible house fire back on 25 June 1998. Josi’s mother was working while it happened, leaving her 5-year-old daughter with her uncle back in an apartment located in Hartford.

However, her uncle, Jofrey Aponte, did not survive the fire. Josi recalled that Peter was the one who performed CPR on her, saving her life.

Yet, the bond between the two remained in the little girl’s heart even after Josi’s family moved away. After all these years and all grown up, Josi finally located his profile on Facebook, and reached out to him!
