Strays and abandoned animals can be found in just about every city on the face of the earth. There are some dedicated people who work hard to bring in those animals and try to find them a proper home. In Abilene, Texas, an undersized pit bull was found just sitting on the side of the road – and she had some serious problems.

Not only was the dog, named Via, emaciated, but she also had a wound on her head. The person credited with finding Via is Lea Frissen. She was able to get Via in her car and take her to a nearby shelter.

Via was not microchipped. Lea already had one foster dog living in her home so she couldn’t take Via in. Lea posted spread the word about Via in the hopes of finding her owners.
