Figgy is a black male poodle that has lived for over 18 years.
Before a kindly person took him into her home, ownership of Figgy was handed off to a shelter.
While shelters are sometimes the best place for a home that is unable to properly care for a dog, Figgy’s previous owners turned him over to a shelter because the wife loathed him to the point of referring to Figgy as stupid.
Between his small stature, blindness and fearfulness, no doubt instilled into him by his previous owner’s wife, Figgy had no idea what would happen to him.
San Francisco, California-based Muttville Senior Dog Rescue rose to the occasion to ensure Figgy’s last days would be spent in a loving home.
After securing him from his shelter, the rescue organization brought Figgy in touch with Eileen, a hospice mom.
Eileen loved Figgy from the first time she met him and Figgy seemed to indicate a similar level of appreciation the moment Eileen took him into her arms.
Figgy’s final days will be spent basking in Eileen’s adoration and care.
