A rhino and a lamb can be best friends! It is true – just watch the video below! Gertjie is the baby rhino whose best friend is Lammie, the lamb. The footage of the two BFFs was taken at Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center (HESC) located in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Having a companion animal such as Lammie allows Gertjie the opportunity to grow up with a companion and without much human interaction.
Without human interaction, Gertjie will grow up, be cared for, and when she is old enough she can be set free! HESC is involved in breeding and research of endangered animals, they educate students and the general public about conservation and the treatment and rehabilitation of wild animals. That being said, prepare yourself for some cuteness overload!
