Coins have been an example of monetary antiques for a very long time – from the color to the material used and even its printing. Untrained eyes may not be able to identify valuable ones from the others, however – here’s where the experts come in!

Forget the quarters dating back from 1970 – old, rustic pennies retaining their charm fetches a higher value, and a better price! Now that’s truly a bang for your, ahem, penny.

The war fought in WWII between 1943 to 1944 required and used up a ton of copper resources – so the Government proposed pennies to be converted into a cheaper material. Various alloys and metal mixes were considered in the process.
