Motherly instincts will always be prominent, in humans or animals. Mothers will always put their young first before themselves and ensure their young’s safety or health. Just like this mother elephant in the Prague Zoo. She had grown concerned for her calf when he would not get up and tried to use her trunk to help him.
Actually, the calf is perfectly fine but he simply wants to nap. That was why he did not want to get up but continued to lie down on the grass. The staff took notice of this so they observed them. Despite trying numerous times, the calf stubbornly refuses to get up.

The mother elephant eventually gave up trying so the staff stepped in to help wake the calf.
