Standing next to her severely injured baby that was lying on the sidewalk, a canine mom was noticed by her cries for help.
Luckily, help arrived after Animal Aid Unlimited in India was called.

What the rescue team saw when they got to the mother dog and her pup was a canine that cried whenever her baby cried. Her puppy was obviously in pain after being mauled.
The mother dog’s attempt to communicate with us continued as her wounded pup was carefully and gently placed in the ambulance.

The puppy’s mother was left behind so she could care for her other 4 puppies, it was reported.
Animal Aid Unlimited also stated that they were determined to save the pup and reunite it with its mother. They said they hoped that the mother would be able to understand.

The rescue team attempted to communicate with the puppy’s mother. It looked like the mother trusted the team members and felt they would care for her baby.
Toggle’s wounds were treated at the shelter, but the pup’s resulting pain would not allow him to walk.

The puppy was extremely brave and always cooperated when his wounds needed to be taken care of, the team stated.
The people at the shelter also said the pain from the wounds didn’t allow the pup to walk for a quite a few days, however, and the possibility of permanent nerve damage was uncertain.

After many hours of rest and lots of food and affection, Toggle’s condition began to significantly improve.
Soon, the puppy was racing around and giving kisses to the people who rescued him.

Since they knew he should be with his mother, Toggle was reunited with his mom and his siblings.
Animal Aid Unlimited said they plan to spay the canine mom when her puppies get older.
