Losing a pet is one of the hardest things you will go through. One man, Scott Ewels, lost his cat and was understandably heartbroken. He later learned that his kitty had made another human friend who was mourning the loss as well. Bear had died after being hit by a vehicle last month.

Bear and his brother Teddy had always been adventurous. The two brothers would always head out the cat-door and spend their time outdoors. The two brothers had made some friends out in the world on their many adventures – Scott just didn’t know it – yet.

Two weeks after Bear’s death, Scott got a note from his neighbor. The neighbor, a woman, was concerned that Bear hadn’t been around lately and was checking up on him. Scott was still mourning the loss of Bear and was moved that his cat had touched another person’s life.

Scott wrote a note back that very night. He wrote that Bear had died but that he (Scott) was glad that Bear had brought some joy into their life. In the note, Scott included his e-mail address. The woman has sent Scott some photos of Bear and Teddy in her house!

She has also shared stories of their many adventures. The secret life of Bear and Teddy has been revealed! How amazing that those cats touched a stranger’s life and Scott had no idea. Scott said that the woman is planning to come visit Bear’s grave – it will be the first time that Scott will meet her in person.
