Endangered species, like axolotls, are illegal to import or sell. Thankfully, the man who found the axolotls was willing to put in the work to help them thrive.
He got a new tank and covered the bottom with sand. He named his new charges Blue, Omega, and Alpha. The trio is doing quite well and is enjoying a steady diet of earthworms!
Fun fact about axolotls – according to axolotl.org, they can actually regenerate a lost limb!
Sadly, this also makes them ideal candidates for laboratory testing.
