This is Kahn, an African lion that is easily recognized by his deep roar and unique mane. Kahn and his mate, Sheila both had abusive pasts but are now living as lions should. Both Kahn and Sheila now live at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center in Texas.

Before they arrived at In-Sync, the cats were seized when the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) got a tip that an entertainment facility was neglecting and abusing wild cats.
