The following story is due to overpopulation and human neglect – animals who aren’t spayed or neutered causes young animals to be subsequently abandoned after their mothers give birth. These infant animals have little to no chance in surviving on the harsh streets.
Feline newborn Iris is no exception.
Found on the streets in the rain, Iris was saved by a woman who quickly brought her to safety. Iris was hardly breathing and remained deathly still in the woman’s arms.
The woman quickly wrapped a paper bag around Iris in a bid to keep her warm – the bag was all she had on hand that time. It worked, as Iris started to slowly respond to human touch.
