Paul Robertson drives a big rig. He loves the open road – and so does his cat, Percy. Robertson and Percy had been sharing pictures of their journey on Facebook – they even had quite a fan club. In late February, Robertson had to tell everyone that Percy had disappeared. It happened when Robertson pulled to get some rest. He was asleep for several hours.

When he woke up, Percy was gone. The window had been open, and Percy had disappeared. Robertson looked, but there was no way to tell how far (or how long) Percy had gone. Robertson spent a few hours searching the area for his little buddy.

On his way back to his truck, he noticed some loose cargo. Then guess, who came out from under the truck? Percy! All the time that Robertson had spent calling and Percy was just lying under the truck! Typical cat – they never come when they are called!
Robertson scooped up the ginger cat, and the two got back in the truck. Robertson was happy to report that Percy had a full belly and was sleeping peacefully! During the hours that Percy was believed to be missing, many people reached out and expressed their sadness.
Robertson said he was grateful to have their support. To think that most of the people who read the post have probably never met Robertson or Percy. Love is out there in the world. You just have to know where to look. Happy traveling to Paul and Percy – stay safe out there!
