Meet Karma, a lone rescued cow who had just arrived at the Gentle Barn animal sanctuary after her owners were forced to give her up.
Karma wouldn’t stop ‘crying’, and it puzzled the staff at the sanctuary at first – was she missing someone?
Drops of milk started to ooze out from her udder – and that was when staff decided to question Karma’s former owners.
They had been keeping the calf, intended for their dinner!
Eventually, the calf was rescued – and reunited with karma, much to her relief!
