A new game on social media is just sick. Russian authorities are investigating the game that is getting young girls to believe they can become ‘fire fairies.’ The post tells the young girls to get up at midnight (when everyone else in the house is asleep) and go to the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen, the girls are to turn on the gas burners on the stove and repeat some ‘magic words’ to become fairies.
The game reportedly seems to be modeling a prank that was seen on an animated TV series “Winx Club. School of Witches.” Sofia Ezhova, 5-years-old, tried to play the game and was severely burned.
Parents need to be more mindful of what kinds of things their children are exposed to. Young children should not be allowed to view many things on the internet – they are too young and vulnerable.
They can get into enough trouble watching television. Let social media and the internet wait a few years. They are not going to miss out if they don’t go online.
Many other Russian parents are complaining about the game, and state investigator Irina Minnia says the game may be a form of ‘suicide game’ or a prank to start a panic among parents.
One mother reported that her daughter tried to play the game and almost killed the entire family after leaving the gas on. Thankfully, the mother smelled the gas and was able to wake up and turn it off.
Let us hope that the authorities in Russia get the person(s) responsible for this soon. Share away, people.
