Animal shelters around the globe are becoming overrun with homeless cats and dogs. These days, walking into a shelter is as distressing as it is tragic.
Unfortunately, many still prefer pet store animals to those in animal shelters that are euthanized daily.
It’s for this reason why animal activists have coined the phrase, “adopt, don’t shop.”
Though this movement is steadily on the rise, animal shelters still see copious amounts of abandoned and stray pets come through their doors.
Ginger is one such pup.
Ginger, an enthusiastic dog with the waggiest of tails, called Orange County Animal Shelter home for quite some time.
When prospective owners would walk by her cage, she’d get all excited and hoist up onto her hind legs.
She’d then begin moving side to side, almost as if she were dancing.
Shelter employees and visitors alike thought Ginger was a hoot. One staff member even recorded the moment to capture Ginger’s happy-go-lucky self.
As luck would have it, Ginger found herself a home.
Ginger’s ability to dance her way into someone’s heart is a true testament to animal love.
