Have you ever put your life on the line to help another person? How about to help an animal? Not many people get that opportunity. I wonder what I would do in that type of situation. I would like to think that I would step up and help a person or animal in a life or death situation.
During a flood in Australia, a family saw a horse in serious trouble. The family was on their front porch when they saw a horse float by, struggling to stay afloat.
The husband, Leigh Shepherd, and his son Rob risked their lives to save the helpless horse. The two men use a boogie board to get to her. They took hold of her mane and tried to direct her towards their porch. The horse was so stressed, she went further out into the water. Then Leigh and Rob got an extension cord and used it as a lasso to help the horse get out of the raging waters.
