No one who works at an animal shelter wants all those kennels to be filled. There are millions of animals that live in shelters around the country. Sure, having the cages filled gives them something to do during the day. But knowing that all those dogs (or cats) don’t have a home must be heartbreaking.
Happily, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region has absolutely no animals in their kennels! Just in time for Christmas too! To celebrate, they took a photo of themselves in the empty kennels. Each and every person is smiling ear to ear! They posted the photo and a message on Facebook.
