This article tells the touching story of true friendship between an elephant named Tarra and a dog named Bella.
As featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, these two did not let a mere difference in physical size get in the way of befriending one another – they napped, played and even had their meals together!
It was for a long span of 10 years!
Unfortunately, Bella sprained her back badly one day, thus staff working at the sanctuary had to separate the duo for three agonizing weeks.
The elephant however, stayed close to her friend – outside the office door!
However, Bella passed away back in 2011 – Tarra still remembers her to this day, with other elephants for company.
