Electra, a pup who was dropped at the animal shelter by her owners, is a testament to how distressing it is to witness a dog being deserted.
One of the shelter’s employees took a video of Electra in hopes of capturing her forlorn state.
With her head hanging low and eyes dropping, there’s no denying the pain Electra felt after realizing her owners wouldn’t be returning.
According to other staff members, Electra walked into the shelter with her ears perked high and a happy disposition. Unfortunately, that soon changed.
Though shelter employees refrain from judging, they seldom understand how owners could surrender their pets without a second thought.
The employee who took the video of Electra did so in hopes of sending a compelling message to those who are considering abandoning their pets.
Fortunately, Electra has since been adopted and is happy and healthy in her new home.
