The Zhuhai police were able to collect all the parts of the dolphin, and the three suspects have been summoned to court. The dolphin appears to be a young Chinese white dolphin – the real tragedy is that they are an endangered species.
The Chinese white dolphin is protected by law. It is clear that more needs to be done to protect the species. Users on Weibo have demanded the authorities protect the endangered wildlife better. The fisherman should also be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I agree – don’t you?
