After a loved one dies many of us will go to their grave site to sit, talk, and pray. It allows us to express our grief in a healthy way. Humans are not the only ones who grieve the loss of a loved one. We have seen images of elephants crying and having what seems like a funeral when a member of the herd dies. Dogs too show an incredible sense of loss when their owner passes. The dog you see pictured here is one of those dogs, his name is Cesur.

Last week, Cesur’s owner, Mehmet Ilhan, 79, died at a local hospital in Bursa Turkey. Cesur and Mehmet had been companions for the last two years.

Cesur took the loss of his best friend very hard. Mehmet’s son, Ali, said Cesur and his father had a special connection. Cesur refused to eat when Mehmet was hospitalized.

After his death, Mehmet’s body was returned to the family. Cesur was never far from his friend.
