The couple then returned to the shelter to see if they could get more information about the dog. The shelter workers listened to the couple’s story about how the dog stares at them each night. The staff then told the couple how the dog ended up at the shelter.
The dog’s previous owner had waited until the dog had fallen asleep. Then the heartless person picked up the dog and took it to the shelter, and the dog never saw that owner again.
The dog was afraid to go to sleep – he didn’t want to get left behind again!
