Stranded For 3 Days, Injured Woman Who Fell Down A Canyon Could Have Died, But Her Dog Kept Her Alive

Adventure racing is an extreme sport that is sweeping the country. On an adventure race, you may find yourself riding a mountain bike on a tight track, or hiking through a dense forest, or even racing down some rapids in a canoe. The races may last hours or even days covering distances up to 100 miles!

After slipping on a patch of ice, Danelle Ballengee, a world champion adventure racer, fell 60 feet down a canyon in Utah. Her pelvis was broken. Ballengee, also a four-time Pikes Peak Marathon winner, was alone for three days and two nights fighting to survive. But, she wasn’t completely alone. She had her dog Taz with her. Watch the video below to hear how Taz saved her life!
