Kyle Cornwell, a military veteran, had a life-changing moment when he was walking with his friends in Sacramento. Cornwell and his friends passed a man shivering in the street. The homeless man was wearing a military jacket and a Vietnam veterans hat. Cornwell passed the man but felt compelled to stop.
He took off his warm coat, sat down and talked with the man. That was the moment Cornwell’s life changed. Cornwell realized that he had to do something for the homeless veterans.
Cornwell is now committed to helping – he goes to second-hand stores each week and buys clothes and other personal items a homeless person may need. Then he passes them out to the homeless veterans living on the streets.
