Reed suffers from a schizoaffective disorder and was hospitalized after the incident. He is now in jail. Senator Jason Rapert of Bigelow, said Reed’s actions are an act of violence. State officials are already planning to have a new monument to replace the damaged one. Reed destroyed another Ten Commandments monument at the Oklahoma State Capitol in 2015.

Back then, Reed apologized and said he wished he could take it back. As expected, once word of this story got out, there was controversy with some people praising Reed’s actions and other condemning them.
I think there is a line between criminal behavior and personal views that shouldn’t be crossed.
