It also combines feelings of boredom, loneliness, and resentment in the adopted child’s life as she is depicted to be a nuisance to the rest of the family. Her adopted father could take no more, and dumps her in the middle of the grasslands, leaving her behind with her only toy – a ragdoll. The scene switches to show a dog looking sadly after the car at the end, citing a dual message.
