Heather Lynn Bentley, 41, never missed a meal. Sadly, her two dogs missed so many meals that they were starving. Authorities found two severely emaciated dogs at Bentley’s house in Selma, Alabama. One pit bull that was chained up outside was barely alive. The other dog, also tied up, had died. There was no evidence of food or water near where the dogs were found.
Bentley claimed that the dogs didn’t belong to her and she didn’t have time to take care of them. So, why not take them to the shelter? What kind of person is that irresponsible? Did this woman have no neighbors? I feel like this tragedy could have been prevented. The pit bull rescued from the yard is recovering and is in the hands of Animal Control.
