Oscar was dumped on the side of the road in Long Beach, California. The senior Australian Shepherd laid on the curb as people walked by. No one was willing to help the poor creature. Oscar’s back legs had collapsed under him, and he couldn’t help himself. Finally, someone rescued him and rushed him to the vet.
Oscar has spinal stenosis, which is a common affliction in older shepherds. He is reportedly doing well, and his condition is improving. Claudia Hoffmann, Oscar’s advocate, is hoping that someone steps up and offers him a home. She plans to continue her efforts for Oscar’s sake.

If you are in the Long Beach area and can help, contact Claudia on Facebook. Oscar deserves a loving place to lay his head, as of March 14, Oscar was still in need of a foster home.
