Being in the middle of the road on the Interstate is no place for anyone, let alone a poor dog.
Just like Fae, a 10 year-old Chihuahua mix. She was found on the roadside of Interstate 605 in California.
Someone had left her there and it was unclear to anyone on how long Fae had been there.
A man saw her and took her home. However, the man’s wife had expressed displeasure and stated that she did not want Fae to stay as she was sick.
So Fae was dropped off at the Baldwin Park Animal Services.
Elaine Seamans, a long-time volunteer at the shelter, got a call when Fae was dropped off.
Elaine later learned that Fae had been found on the roadside of the Interstate. She met the man who dropped Fae off at the shelter and saw that he had been crying.
Even though Fae was not physically well, she was able to eat and walk.
Later, a man named Gåtor stopped by the shelter on his 50th birthday and immediately fell in love with Fae.
According to Elaine, both of them seemed to have experienced hardships in their lives.
Gåtor wanted to adopt Fae and give her a loving home.
With the help of Meade Canine Rescue, Fae was cleared to be taken home.
