An American hero was killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq. Marine Cpl. Richard Bennet was 25. Members of the Westboro Baptist Church was going to protest at his funeral because of the military’s acceptance of homosexuals. Can you imagine? What kind of a church would protest at a funeral? Bennet’s family had some support from the biker group called The Patriots Guard.
After all, the family deserves some peace on the day of the funeral. The bikers stood between the protesters and the family! There is a quote by Sukhraj Dhillon that goes like this “Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, your behavior does.” Cpl. Bennet chose to defend his country with his military service.

Those protesters should be ashamed of themselves, all they did was complain about a policy. We know who the better person was here. Rest in peace, Cpl. Bennet. Thank you for your service.
