Pooh was a stray cat. No one is quite sure if he was hit by a car or a train in the village in Bulgaria where he lived. His injuries were severe, and Pooh needed immediate help. A local woman who left food outside for him rushed him to Central Vet Clinic, located in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

He could either euthanize Pooh or amputate both back legs high up on the leg. He decided to amputate – with a special twist – and give Pooh a second chance at life.
