A boy living in western India was born with a tail. He hid the tail from everyone his whole life. The boy’s parents told him that it was a good luck charm. When the boy turned 18, he couldn’t hide it any longer, his tail was causing him pain in his lower back, and he would often have trouble sleeping.
The abnormal growth on his back had grown to be nearly eight inches long! The boy, whose name has not been released, went to Super Specialty Hospital and wanted his tail removed. Dr. Pramod Giri is the head of neurosurgery said that the boy not only had physical problems from the tail but psychological ones too – his clothes didn’t fit right.
