Blogger Who Falsely Accused Army Colonel Of Rape Learns A Lesson

If you are going to accuse someone of rape, you better be sure you have named the right person! Army Colonel David “Wil’ Riggins was on the verge of being promoted to brigadier generals when a female blogger from Washington state accused him of rape. The two had been cadets at West Point in 1986.

Riggins eventually filed suit against Susan Shannon, 52, and denied her claims. The jury believed Riggins, and now Shannon has to pay $8.4 million in damages! For Riggins, the amount of money has no meaning, he wants his life back. For four years, his name was on the line, and he feels good to be vindicated! The bottom line for the jury was that Susan didn’t seem trustworthy and Riggins did!
