Does a kidney cake sound good to you? No? Me either. But it isn’t really a kidney flavored cake that we are talking about in this story. This family is having a birthday celebration. They ordered a cake from the bakery and left it in the box until the party. They birthday ‘boy’ is the man in gray, he is also in need of a new kidney.
He has been on the transplant list for quite some time. The man’s wife is sitting next to him when he opens the lid on the cake. The cake reads “We’re a match in more ways than one!” The woman was thrilled to be able to share the news that she is a match and can donate one of her kidneys to her husband!
