Ecstasy, or MDMA, is a party drug. Some people who take it don’t have much ‘fun.’ One of those people was Amy Thomson. In 2015, she was 16, and she tried just one MDMA. Three other girls tried a pill too. All three were taken to the hospital. Amy was the only one who didn’t get discharged that same night.
She ended up staying at the hospital for a very long time. She was in a coma for two weeks and spent a month on life support. Amy survived. But she is now having to learn everything all over again. She will never walk and is confined to a wheelchair. Being a parent isn’t easy. But you should talk to your kids.
