This is Collin. He is a blind senior dog that was covered in ticks. A good Samaritan saw Collin outside abandoned and panting on a street corner in Miami, Florida. The dog’s owner had no real good reason for leaving his dog – all he said was that he had kicked the dog out of the house.
The good Samaritan took pictures and posted them on Facebook. Before long, Grace Lofton Kaye, the founder of Their Lives Matter, saw the photos.
Thankfully, that same day Collin was rescued and taken to Pet House Animal Clinic. They began the painstaking task of removing all the ticks – one at a time.
Collin had around one thousand ticks on his body! At first, Collin seemed nearly lifeless. With time, he started to perk up.
