What would you do if your sister really wanted an incredibly expensive designer item for her prom? Well, this crafty sister decided to find a compromise by turning a pair of old shoes into ones that resembled those that her sibling desired! This girl gave her sister the best prom gift ever by making her a pair of shoes worthy of the highest designers!
Taking inspiration from a pair of Swarovski-encrusted platform pumps by Christian Louboutin, she purchased cheap heels in the same dramatic cut and height, and got to work.
First she painted the shoe in blue acrylic paint.
She then painted the underside of the shoe in red, making sure not to go over the rest of the shoe thanks to some painter’s tape. The red was then coated with polyurethane varnish for a glossy finish.
